By laser engraving a unique identifier onto every bottle, Coca-Cola can know how many filling cycles the bottle has gone through, and whether it should be refilled or recycled.
Beyond the positive sustainability impact, the initiative provides a valuable set of data about each bottle’s journeys through the market across its lifecycle.
