Applied to Oro Saiwa packaging, the GS1 Digital Link–enabled QR code connects product identity with batch and expiry information while remaining fully scannable at point of sale. At the same time, it creates a new digital touchpoint for consumers, providing access to product, sustainability and disposal information. The pilot allows Mondelēz Italia to assess operational impacts, consumer experience and retailer readiness, helping define best practices for wider adoption across the group.
